Bandar Bin Abdulaziz Bin Siraj Bin Abdulmalik Baleelah (born in 1975) is an imam and teacher at the Grand Mosque, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars, and an assistant professor at Taif University.
Bandar Baleelah was born in Makkah al-Mukarramah, where he completed his education and graduated from Umm al-Qura University, earning a bachelor's degree in 1996, followed by a master's degree in 2001 from the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies.
The most recent was Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz Mosque in the Ash-Shishah district of Makkah.
Sheikh Bandar Baleelah has authored numerous books and research papers related to his field. As a young child, he memorized the entire Qur’an.
In 1996, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Umm Al-Qura University pursuing Islamic law at Shariah College.
In 2020, a Royal Order was issued appointing him as a preacher at the Grand Mosque.
During the Hajj season of 2021, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz approved the appointment of Sheikh Dr. Bandar Bin Abdulaziz Baleelah, imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque and member of the Council of Senior Scholars, to deliver the Arafah sermon.

Bandar Balila بندر بليلة
His full name is Bandar Abdul Aziz Balila, one of the most prominent and charismatic Sheikhs in Saudi Arabia, who is also known for his sweet voice and for mastering the Quranic readings.
Sheikh Bandar Balila was born in 1395 Hijry, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, in which he grew up and received his education until he obtained his college degree.
Because Talent alone is never enough, as it needs to be polished and developed, Sheikh Bandar Abdul Aziz decided to devote many years of his college studies to study in depth the Islamic Shari’a, as he joined “Oum Al Qura” University, in which he obtained his masters’ degree in “Al Fiqh” from the University of Shari’a and Islamic studies in 1422 Hijry.
After obtaining his masters’ degree, Sheikh Bandar Balila hunger to study made him join the Islamic University in Medina, and he was able to get a doctorate degree in “Al Fiqh” from Al Shari’a University in 1429 Hijr.
Sheikh Bandar Balila held several positions, as he worked as a teacher of “Al Fiqh” in the Institute of “Al Haram Al Maki Al Sharif” in the higher department, as well as working as an assistant teacher in “Al Taif” University.
He also worked as an assistant teacher in “Al Taif” University. A royal decree was issued in October 2013 to appoint him as Imam of the Grand Mosque. On October 9, 2013, he was officially appointed as an imam of the Grand Mosque, beginning his role by leading the Maghrib prayer the following day. He is an Imam and a preacher too in “Al Amira Nouf” mosque in “Al Aziziyah” region in Mecca.
Before becoming an Imam of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, he worked as an imam (leading prayers) and khateeb (delivering sermons) at numerous mosques throughout Makkah.
In 2013, he was appointed by the king to lead Taraweeh prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah al-Mukarramah. The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia takes special care to translate the sermon through the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Project for Translating the Arafah Sermon and the sermons of the Two Holy Mosques, making it accessible to the world in ten languages.
Sheikh Bandar Baleelah
Sheikh Bandar Baleelah is one of the current Imams of Masjid Al Haram in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
In 2008, he obtained a doctorate in jurisprudence from the Islamic University in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah.
In 2020, a Royal Order was issued to reconstitute the Council of Senior Scholars and appoint new members, with Baleelah being among them.
He worked as a collaborative instructor of jurisprudence at the Holy Mosque Institute in Makkah.
In Ramadan 2013 he first led the Taraaweeh prayers at Masjid Al Haram and began delivering Friday sermons in 2019 by royal decree.
Furthermore, another royal decree appointed Sheikh Baleelah as a member of the Council of Senior Scholars in October 2020.

Sheikh Baleelah was born in Makkah in 1975.
He also earned a master’s degree in Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) from the same university and graduated with first-class honours.
In 2008 Baleelah earned his PhD from the Islamic University of Madinah with first-class honours.
Career
Sheikh Bandar Baleelah worked as a teacher of “Al Fiqh” in the Institute of “Al Haram Al Maki Al Sharif” in the higher department.
He has been appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Sharia at the College of Sharia and Regulations at Taif University from 2010 until now.
Bandar Baleelah served as an imam and preacher at several mosques in Makkah al-Mukarramah, the last being Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Bin Baz Mosque in ash-Shisha Neighborhood.
