I always want the viewer to feel shocked, surprised, happy, and full of wonder when they see my work.
I was introduced to many different kinds of art in my art college years, but I loved handcraft much more than using design software. Sabeena has also created some of the most recognizable pieces of work, such as the award-winning books ‘The Elephant and the Sparrow’ and ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’, the film posters for ‘Chehre’, ‘Virus’ and ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’, the iconic poster for the famous Mumbai Marathon, the packaging for ‘Organic India’ and the heralded ad campaign for ‘Adidas’.

I worked with the art director of Google Doodles to create a design that appealed to so many people, and some were even able to guess it was created by me just by seeing the style of the Doodle.
It was heartbreaking to slice the entire paper art out and make the alterations. Each piece bursts with color and texture, showcasing Karnik’s meticulous attention to detail and her ability to blend traditional craft with contemporary design. Little did I know that this would catch the attention of advertising agencies, and land me a few jobs even before the alphabet series was complete. Sabeena's works have been featured in numerous exhibitions, magazines, and books, and she has received several prestigious awards for her contributions to the industry, including the Cannes Lion Award.
Moreover since it's paper, making corrections is extremely difficult.
