Early life
Cuneta was born on February 2, 1910, in Pasay (then a municipality of Rizal) to Catalino Cuneta y García (c. In 1967, he was defeated by Jovito Claudio.

Political career
Cuneta started his political career when he served as deputy governor of Rizal from 1947 to 1949. He would top the local elections again in 1992 and 1995. Not really a fairy-tale life . His remains lie at the Manila Memorial Park in Paranaque City.

Cuneta was in good health until December 1996 when he started suffering from rheumatism and arthritis. He ran again and won, in the 1959 and 1963 elections. 2 years later, he again won in the local elections.
He was the father of actress and singer Sharon Cuneta. Five years later, he ran for mayor and won. In 1967, he was defeated by Jovito Claudio. He would top the local elections again in 1992 and 1995. He started playing golf in 1956, the only sport he played sinced.
He staretd out in political career as Pasay"s top executive during Ferdinand Marcos administration.
In 1997 when Cuneta started to become bed-ridden, he bowed out from his political and entrusted the local leadership to then vice mayor Wenceslao Trinidad.
