Adam is a Delaware trial lawyer who focuses his practice on corporate, fiduciary, and complex commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery and the Delaware Superior Court’s Complex Commercial Litigation Division.

Before entering private practice, Adam served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jan R. Jurden, then-President Judge of the Superior Court of Delaware, Complex Commercial Litigation Division.

Adam represents both entities and individual clients in actions involving breach of contract and fraud claims arising out of asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, and other agreements, breach of fiduciary duty, corporate control, inspection of books and records, limited liability company agreements, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, post-closing earnout disputes, and indemnification and escrow disputes.

Here, the patentee is MHL Custom, Inc. who, it appears, is a practicing company and not an NPE. Beyond that, the case is still active (unlike some of the Mavexar cases) and the discovery is sought by the defendant, not the Court itself. She began her tenure as a Magistrate Judge of the Court in June of 1992, after 16 years in private practice.

Judge Thynge will be sorely missed by her colleagues on the Court.

The District of Delaware announced today that Chief Magistrate Judge Thynge is set to retire in March 31, 2023:

The United States District Court for the District of Delaware announces that Chief Magistrate Judge Mary Pat Thynge has informed the Court of her intention to retire, effective March 31, 2023, ending more than 30 years of exemplary judicial service.
Judge Thynge is the longest serving U.S.

Magistrate Judge in the history of the District of Delaware. In addition to her national reputation as a talented mediator and jurist, she brought each day to the Court a tireless work ethic, an unsurpassed commitment to preparation, kindness for others, and a wonderful sense of humor.

The Court intends to recognize Judge Thynge’s service and thank her for that service in a more fulsome way at a public event in the near future.

Chief Magistrate Judge Thynge is an incredible judge and an incredible mediator.

In law school, Adam served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Mary Pat Thynge, then-Chief Magistrate Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and an Articles Editor for the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law.

Adam also has experience advising special committees to perform investigations.
