Whileundertaking graduate studies in psychology, Douglas met FBI agent Frank Haines in Clovis, New Mexico, who recruited Douglas into the FBI. Douglas went on to earn a master's degree in educational psychology at the University of Wisconsin in 1977 and a doctorate in education from Nova University in 1989.[4][5]

Career

Douglas joined the FBI in 1970 and his first assignment was in Detroit, Michigan.

Douglas later received two Thomas Jefferson Awards for academic excellence from the University of Virginia for his work on the study.
