A. Reckeweg & Co. GmbH. With Zeel® for the treatment of arthrosis, Heel enlarged its portfolio to treat musculoskeletal diseases.
The results of a scientific in-vitro study on the effects of Gripp-Heel® and Engystol® were published in the German drug research magazine “Arzneimittelforschung”.
Heel celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Reckeweg developed the concept of Homotoxicology. From 1924 to 1930 he studied medicine in Würzburg, Münster, Berlin and Bonn. The reaction phase uses inflammation as the primary means to remove homotoxins. With 260 employees, the company continues to invest into modern technologies and scientific activities.

Homeotoxicologist, he founded the "Anti-homeotoxicological-society" in Germany.
Dr Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg integrated conventional medicine, science, and technology into homeopathy and called it Homotoxicology, which explains how organic and physiological reactions to toxins cause problems for people.
Reckeweg was born in 1905 as the son of Heinrich Reckeweg, a primary school teacher from Herford. Reckeweg coined the term "homotoxin", meaning a substance that is toxic to humans, i.e., which cannot be safely broken down by the body and must be eliminated quickly from the body to remain harmless. 1961 Foundation of the "Society for Homotoxicology and Antihomotoxic Therapy".
The excretion phase eliminates toxins via portals. Toxic reactions cause overloads that are expressed most often on the body’s surface. The new headquarters and production facilities in Baden-Baden were inaugurated in 1963.
First step towards internationalization in European countries, followed by countries in the Americas, Africa, Australia and Asia.
Today, Heel medicines are available in 50 countries worldwide.
Heel executes clinical studies on its medicines and intensifies the scientific discussion. In 1954, Reckeweg moved his practice and headquarters to Baden-Baden.
With today’s cutting-edge scientific methods, many of the concept aspects have been validated.
The company Heel was relocated to Baden-Baden, being more convenient for production facilities. After marrying his wife Margarete, née Stehle, he moved to Berlin. In Berlin he also came into contact with homeopathy through Professor August Bier.
Today, the company is known as Pharmazeutische Fabrik Dr. Reckeweg & Co. GmbH. 1978 Sale of the pharmaceutical company and relocation to Albuquerque (New Mexico). 1955 his book "Homotoxins and Homotoxicoses - Foundations of a Synthesis of Medicine" was published.
