Besides being an Eastertime Internet curiosity, Grom’s eggs have been exhibited in Slovenia, India, Japan, and the United States, the artist reports.
Grom also continues to expand his own personal collection, constantly adding new samples.
Artistic Process and Legacy
In an interview, Grom revealed that before starting a new project, he meticulously inspects the eggs, searching for the tiniest microcracks. I know from experience that it will break.”
As is the case with traditional Slovenian Easter eggs, Grom starts his process by cleaning the eggs, poking holes in the top and bottom of the shell, and blowing out the liquid.
If you do, please notify me and I'll give

Janez Bogataj, s katerim sta kasneje še veliko sodelovala. As the only artist in the world working in this technique, each of Grom's pieces is a masterpiece in its own right. Njegova dela so bila podarjena številnim športnikom, umetnikom, znanstvenikom, diplomatom, predsednikom držav in cerkvenim dostojanstvenikom po svetu, hranijo pa jih tudi številni tuji muzeji.

Biography of Franc Grom
Franc Grom is a Slovenian artist who creates incredible artworks out of ordinary bird eggs.
On average, each of Grom's eggs contains between 2500 and 3500 holes, with his record being 24,000 holes on a single goose egg.
Masterpieces
Grom has been creating his delicate carved Easter eggs for nearly two decades, honing his craftsmanship to perfection. It remains unknown if he plans to pass on his skills to a successor, but it is hopeful that his talented craftsmanship will inspire future artists.
Franc Grom is an amazing artist.
Grom trusts local farmers to provide him with quality eggs.
Now 72, Grom has been carving for 18 years, and works at his craft year-round. I always check the egg under a strong light in advance before I begin carving. Janeza Bogataja, za katero so izmed več kot tristotih umetniških del, izbrali prav pirh Franca Groma.
When he begins working on a new egg, he only has a general idea of the design, but as he progresses, the intricate patterns become clearer in his mind. Grom’s search for technology that would allow him to drill holes mere millimeters apart led him to stone-carving tools as well as a minuscule electric dental drill.
Variety is the
spice of life! Ko pa je zasluženi “penzion” potrkal na vrata smo pričeli spoznavati neprecenljive vrednosti oblikovalskega izražanja – edinstvenega v slovenskem in tudi širšem prostoru.
