Elizabeth C. Bunce (born 1974) is an American author and novelist who writes mysteries, fantasy, and ghost stories featuring strong female characters.[1] Her works are often inspired by folklore, and targeted toward young adult and pre-teen readers while also appealing to adults.[2] Her writing style has been referred to as literary fiction, and her works have been called “mysteries in fantasy dress,”[3] “spun with mystery and shot through with romance.”[4] Her works are infused with her research into history, science, culture, and etymology, often set in or inspired by historical places and times.[3]

    Career

Bunce’s first novel A Curse Dark as Gold brought the author national attention, receiving the American Library Association’s inaugural William C.
