Election Tribunal nullifies Agriculture Minister’s victory
QUETTA: The Election Tribunal declared the victory of Balochistan Agriculture Minister Ali Madad Jattak null and void and ordered re-election.
According Election Tribunal, re-election was ordered at 15 polling stations of Quetta Provincial Assembly seat PB-45 Quetta constituency.
The success of Ali Madad Jatak was challenged by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam candidate Mohammad Usman Pirkani before a tribunal comprising High Court Judge Abdullah Baloch.
The Election Tribunal directed that along with the termination of Ali Madad Jatak’s membership in the Assembly, his ministry portfolio should also be withdrawn.

Earlier, The Balochistan Government has launched crackdown against absentee teachers across the province.
Balochistan Education Department has started action against the absent teachers from 2021, under which 114 absent teachers have been dismissed.
The education department said that 998 absent teachers have been issued show cause notices and 429 others have been issued explanation letter while 78 absent teachers of the province have been suspended.
One killed, 11 injured as blast hit PPP rally in Quetta
QUETTA: A rally led by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ali Madad Jattak was targeted in a bomb attack, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to ten others, ARY News reported.
According to police, the rally was on its way to attend a “Victory Day” gathering celebrating the Pakistan Army’s success against India.
The attack occurred near Munir Mengal Chowk on Sariab Road, where hand grenades and a UBGL (Under Barrel Grenade Launcher) were used.
Both explosives detonated at the scene, injuring several participants.
Security across the city has been heightened following the incident.
CM Bugti Condemns The Attack
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has strongly condemned the bomb attack on the convoy of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and Member of Provincial Assembly, Ali Madad Jatak.
In a statement issued following the incident, CM Bugti expressed deep concern over the attack and praised Ali Madad Jatak’s commitment to democracy and national unity.
He vowed that those responsible for this cowardly act would be brought to justice.
The injured were immediately taken to the hospital.
According to the Civil Hospital spokesperson, 11 injured individuals were transferred to the hospital, one of whom succumbed to injuries during treatment.
He said such cowardly actions would never shake the resolve of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
He further expressed confidence that those responsible for the attack would soon be brought to justice.
Bilawal also called for the best possible medical care for the injured and prayed for their speedy recovery.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and Member of the Balochistan Assembly, Haji Ali Madad Jattak, has lauded the timely, courageous, and successful action of the police and security forces against terrorists in the Bhag area of District Kachhi.
He paid rich tribute to martyred SHO Lutf Ali Khosa, saying that his bravery, sense of duty, and supreme sacrifice are a source of pride for the entire nation.
“The sacrifices of our martyrs are the pride of the nation, and we will never leave their families alone,” he reaffirmed.
Haji Ali Madad Jattak also emphasized that the families of the martyrs should be fully supported to honor their sacrifices and ensure they receive the recognition they deserve.

QUETTA: One person was killed and at least 10 others sustained injuries in a powerful blast that struck a political rally in Quetta on Wednesday, Waseem Baig, the Spokesman civil hospital Quetta confirmed.
The explosion occurred during the convoy of senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and Member of the Provincial Assembly, Ali Madad Jatak.
Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) and senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, Haji Ali Madad Jatak, escaped a bomb blast during a political rally in Quetta.
The rest are under care at the trauma centre.
Following the incident, security personnel cordoned off the area, while the bomb disposal squad and investigation teams began collecting evidence from the site.
The government has demanded a report on the attack targeting the MPA’s convoy.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the attack, stating that assaults on public leaders are essentially attacks on the peace of Balochistan.

Bilawal Bhutto termed the targeting of Ali Madad Jattak’s convoy as a cowardly act and a clear act of terrorism.
While he remained unharmed, several PPP workers sustained injuries in the incident.
Ali Madad Jatak, a prominent figure in the PPP, has recently been active in leading rallies condemning Indian aggression against Pakistan.
He participated in a public event in Quetta organized by Balochistan-based political and civil society groups to pay tribute to the martyrs of the recent cross-border hostilities.
