She died in Madrid from a stroke on September 13, 1959.
She met Manolete, the matador in the Chicote bar in Madrid, and was his girlfriend until his death by a fatal goring in the ring in 1947. This is the novel biography of an extraordinary woman. The cruel story invented based on slander about her person condemned her, banishing her from the memory of the people, wrapping her in a black legend that has haunted her to this day.
Her only sin: falling in love with the man of her life, Manuel Rodríguez Sánchez, "Manolete", perhaps the most influential and famous public figure of his time; with the audacity to live together without going through the vicarage, turning their relationship into a national scandal for Catholicism that was walking under a canopy.
She was the second of nine children born to Eugenia and Nicomedes.
She was not liked by his manager and family and was not allowed to see him before he bled to death on 29 August 1947. Antonia Bronchalo Lopesino "Lupe Sino" 1917 - 1959
Lupe Sino
Antonia Bronchalo Lopesino was born on March 6, 1917 in Sayatón, a village in Guadalajara, Spain.
For many, Lupe was the snake that led the Monster of bullfighting astray and, finally, to his death; For few, Antoñita was the angel who came to this world to try to save it. She was photographed by Paco Cano at his side afterwards, as he lay enshrouded.
Sino worked as a movie actress, and starred in several films, notably "La Dama Torera" (1950), "El Marqués de Salamanca" (1948), "El Testamento del Virrey" (1944) and "La famosa Luz María" (1942).
Sino was portrayed by Penélope Cruz in the 2007 movie, Manolete.
