Rocky III(1982)
Hogan first climbed into the movie ring with the third — and best — Rocky movie to knock Sylvester Stallone's southpaw boxer around in a boxer vs.
He was the first wrestler to win consecutive Royal Rumble matches, winning in 1990 and 1991. Because of his massive physique (he stood 6 feet 8 inches, and weighed 303 pounds) and his uncanny resemblance to the comic book hero, McMahon suggested that Terry assume the stage name “Hulk Hogan.”

Sadly, Hogan wasn't in supporting actor contention, but Rocky III's immortal title anthem "Eye of the Tiger" was up for Best Original Song.
No Holds Barred (1989)
Seven years after Rocky III, Hogan officially graduated from supporting actor to leading man in this kooky WWE-supported 'rassling picture.
The infamous triumvirate gained immense support from wrestling fans and, briefly, returned Hogan to the success of his past. The Ultimate Weapon is the last gasp of an entire era of action movies before The Matrix changed the genre's game. Law enforcement officials arrested Nick three months later for his role in the accident.
Hogan initially told the press he hoped to reconcile, but his wife later dismissed the notion.
The couple finalized their divorce in 2009. There, his persona as a heroic all-American helped usher in the 1980s professional wrestling boom, where he headlined eight of the first nine editions of WWF's flagship annual event, WrestleMania.

Competing for the promotion Memphis Wrestling in 1979, Bollea—then known by ring names such as Super Destroyer and Terry Boulder—made his wrestling television debut and was nicknamed The Hulk.
That fall, Hogan sued the couple for invasion of privacy and a settlement shortly followed.
