Biography

Early Life     

Zlatan Ibrahimović was born on October 3, 1981, in Malmö, Sweden.

During the period in Juventus and Inter (2004-2009), he became a key figure in both club – he would score 16 goals in in his Serie A first season and Juventus would also become champions the same season. He was not getting along with the manager Pep Guardiola and would return to Italy, and this time AC Milan, for another two seasons (the first as a loan).

The next adventure would take him to France and Paris.

In addition, he is said to have donated the equivalent of around 40,000 euros to the Swedish national team for people with intellectual disabilities in 2014 to enable them to travel to the World Cup, for which they had qualified.

His remarkable performances caught the attention of scouts from across Europe. By the age of ten, he had joined a local football club, quickly standing out with his exceptional skills.

However, his journey was far from smooth. He has been awarded Guldbollen (the Golden Ball), given to the Swedish player of the year, a record 12 times, including 10 consecutive from 2007 to 2016.

Zlatan Ibrahimović's success in European clubs

After the professional journey began with Ajax Amsterdam in 2001, his extraordinary goal-scoring abilities earned him moves to top-tier clubs such as Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Fortunately, the manager of Malmö FF persistently persuaded him, eventually convincing him to return to training.

In 1999, Zlatan began his professional career at Malmö, where his outstanding performances caught the attention of several top clubs. 

Although Arsenal’s legendary manager Arsène Wenger invited him for a trial, Zlatan declined and chose to continue his development in Sweden.

Over the years, he played for some of the world’s biggest clubs, including Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and LA Galaxy.

The team won the league title in both years. Ibrahimović began his career at Malmö FF in 1999, and signed for Ajax two years later, where he won two Eredivisie titles and gained a reputation as one of the most promising forwards in Europe. In his private life, Zlatan Ibrahimović is an avid martial arts fan and practises taekwondo himself.

He was most recently under contract with AC Milan with a market value of around 5 million euros. This was followed by four seasons at Paris St. Germain, two at Manchester United and just under two years at the Los Angeles Galaxies before he returned to AC Milan.
