Pau’s contributions have also been recognized with other awards.
In July 2019, he was named a Global Champion for Nutrition and Zero Childhood Obesity by UNICEF Global.
In 2004 he received the Corazón de Oro (Gold Heart) award from the Spanish Heart Foundation for his work supporting infant survival and the rights of children in African nations and working against malnutrition. He was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, playing for them from 2001-08, and then spent six years with the Los Angeles Lakers.
He finished his NBA career with averages of 17.0 pts/game, 9.2 rebounds/game, and 3.2 assists/game.
Off the court Gasol became known for his charitable and philanthropic endeavors. Nearly 200,000 people visit the Hall of Fame Museum each year to learn about the game, experience the interactive exhibits and test their skills on the Jerry Colangelo "Court of Dreams." Best known for its annual marquee Enshrinement Ceremony honoring the game’s elite, the Hall of Fame also operates over 150 high school and collegiate competitions annually throughout the country and abroad.
The Hall of Fame has more than 475 inductees and 40,000 sq. In early April, he was elected into Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

Pau Gasol was a power forward basketball player who competed at five Olympic Games for Spain, winning silver medals in 2012 and 2016 and a bronze medal in 2020.

In 2015, the Princess of Asturias Sports Prize recognized the brilliant careers of Pau and his brother Marc after they faced off against each other in the first jump ball between brothers in an NBA All-Star game and were each included in the league’s best teams.

In 2015, he received the National Basketball Players Association Global Impact Player award. The Prince of Asturias Sports Prize went to the Spanish National Basketball team in 2006, during his time with the team. In 2012, he won the NBA’s J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award, given to the player or coach who renders outstanding service to the community.
While playing in Memphis he was a supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Also in 2015, Spains’ King Felipe VI awarded Pau the Camino Real Award of the Instituto Franklin, which recognizes the work of Spaniards who enhance the positive image of Spain in the United States.
In 2021, Spain’s Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport awarded him the Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Sports Merit.
